# Photo credits

Per `docs/BTI_STYLE_GUIDE.md`'s Photography section: no AI-generated imagery, ever. Real
photography goes in each slot when it exists; until then the images already committed under
`public/media/` are licensed stand-ins, each already described by the `alt` text on its `<img>`/
`<Image>` in the source that uses it. This file is the single place those same descriptions are
recorded as citable credits, so `src/lib/photoCredits.ts` (the pattern-3 figure component's
credit source) and this file always say the same thing about the same image.

None of these is a photograph of BTI, its staff, or its facilities — do not caption them as such.

Full licensing/rights-holder detail for the non-public-domain stock images above is pending —
this table currently repeats each image's existing `alt` text as its credit rather than
inventing a rights holder or license name. Update both this file and `photoCredits.ts` together
when a fuller license record or replacement photography is available.

The `/media/gallery/` rows (BI MINERVA-13) are Unsplash photos under the Unsplash License
(free use, no attribution required). Each was fetched from images.unsplash.com by its photo id
and checked by eye: not AI-generated, no face toward the camera, no readable brand mark. The
photographer name is not recorded: no Unsplash API key was set, so the API (which carries it)
was not reachable. Add it from unsplash.com/photos/<id> when available.
